Haverfordwest is the county town of Pembrokeshire.
It is the base for the main civic and public undertakings.

It is estimated that around 2 million tourists visit
the county each year, staying for a day or longer.

EMPLOYMENT
Major employers in the town are in the public sector.
The County Hall has some 700 resident employees www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk.
The town is also host to Pembrokeshire College and Withybush
General hospital. Most employment is in the retail and
service sectors. There is a Cheese factory located just
outside the town centre. Withybush Business And Industrial
Park is located just outside the town.
TRANSPORTATION
The town is linked to the rest of South Wales and England
via the A40(T) and M4 and to Ireland via the A40 to
the ferry port of Fishguard. There are Rail links to
Swansea, Cardiff and London. There are also regular
bus services to London and Birmingham. Haverfordwest
Airport has charter flight availability for both passenger

There are 6 public car parks in the town with a capacity
for over 1300 cars.
